Construction managers and architects are often the two main pillars of any construction project. There are many similarities and differences between the two that will require a client to have an entirely different thought process when communicating with them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With so many professionals working together on a building, it can get confusing on who does what sometimes and who has the final say in things.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A construction manager is in charge of all the logistics and manpower needed to have the building built, while an architect is in charge of the planning of the building. Both professions are important to ensure that a project runs smoothly and is successful.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

What does an architect do?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The main job of the architect is to plan the building and, to some extent, the site itself. Their vast knowledge and skill set allow them to create building plans down to the smallest details.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Architects create plans, models, diagrams, and specifications to communicate and show what a building will look like and how it will be built.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The biggest challenge that an architect faces in any project is to come up with creative solutions that are both practical and aesthetically pleasing. Unfortunately, these two aspects are often in conflict with one another. Famous building designs are often hard to maintain or to build, either because of their complexity or the design\u2019s features.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The architect is also in charge of coordinating with different professionals from different fields to ensure that the planned building can function properly and for its intended use.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
